Pretty place. Good food , attentive staff. Overpriced for what you get.
After reading the reviews I was very excited but I was disappointed. The food was bland, wasn’t worth it for me. There was also a 50 min wait for the main course. The drinks were ok but pricey, for a family of 4, we spent $246. And I still wanted something to eat when I got home. However, it was nice to sit outside.
We went to The Cove on Sunday night. The place was full on the outside. We got there early but had to wait for our reserved time. Service was ok, but the food came out slow (kitchen was backed up). Food came out very slowly. We waited for over 1/2 an hour for Caesar salad, which did not have enough dressing on it, and did not taste like Caesar. They were pricey for what we got. Wonderful restaurant on the water in Glen Cove. Honest value, great service, healthy oysters.
We stopped here after dropping off our son at Hofstra. We were looking for something with a water vibe. This was nice. While it was in the 90s we were able to sit outside. There was a lot of space between tables; we could have a conversation without shouting. The music was leveled just right too. We weren’t ambitious with food, going with the firecracker shrimp, a salad and some grilled Haloumi cheese with lovely cherry tomatoes. Cacio e Pepe was nice but heavy on garlic.
Service was very slow food was just fair. View was beautiful. Once the sun went down it was so dark we needed the flashlight on cell phone to see the menu.
Our first time ! Great accès by boat Good food and service Definitely will be back!
Great place, just needs pro staff, not seasonal kids.
Food was OK. Very pricey for what it was. It is great to have a nice outdoor space but I am always disappointed by how slow the service is. Did not seem that busy and yet still had to wait for everything. Even saw the table behind me get frustrated and bring up their own check since they were made to wait for that too.
