I've been at this location for 1 year of March, 2024. No major issues. The new management and staff members are great. The tenants are nice, and long to residents to the apartment homes.
Currently a new resident 1/5/2024 . New management seems to be doing a wonderful job. They are all respectful & helpful when needed. They hire parking lot security some nights.(per previous issues see older reviews).I will update this rating if they change that or if I find out it's a facade for move in . All gates are remote access only & all working. The only negative is lazy residents & not putting their trash in the trash-chute on non valet trash days . Humans get even lazier no mater how many convenience you give them . ... read more
Viewed a model once. Going back this weekend for a second look with my sister/roommate.
The Yelp reviews feel way more accurate--this management team definitely doesn't deserve a 4.0 on Google. They're rude and clearly untrained. First time I've ever dealt with a leasing office like this. I wish I had read the reviews before signing--because I really do like the property.
Deceptive and illegal leasing practices. I applied to Dacoma Apartments and was charged $467 upfront, which included a $200 "deposit" -- even though Texas Property Code §92 and the Texas Apartment Association (TAA) lease model make it clear: landlords cannot collect a security deposit before providing a lease for review and signature. After paying this initial amount, I was then told I would have to submit an additional $963 (first month's rent) before I could even see the lease. This payment was labeled as non-refundable,... read more
They call it Dacoma, but it's really Lack-oma. I've lived here for a year and a half, and my experience has been consistently disappointing. The glowing reviews? Most seem to come from friends of the staff or are written by future tenants in exchange for incentives. Meanwhile, people are constantly moving out, there are numerous empty units, and management is clearly desperate to fill them. 1. Customer Service & Communication The office staff--both current and former--have been unprofessional, dismissive, and unresponsive... read more
When I moved in everything was great from the staff to the rules. I'm not sure what has happened over the past few months but I wish I didn't renew my lease. The office staff either doesn't know what's going and have to wait to speak with a manager or the management staff is rude and very nonchalant. The parking rules have definitely changed drastically so basically no visitors if you want them, I've heard that you can't have no more then 5 visitors a month lol-- feels like I'm at my parents home actually worse because I did... read more
I really liked this place. When you apply tell those rude workers to be honest because you will spend almost 300 and they will claim that's none refundable. When online says that it's and it's a fee but not the whole 280+
The lady working in the front desk is rude. You should hire more positive staff that are more helpful.
