I have been an Edge fitness member at the Glastonbury location facility since the beginning of this year. Lately I've noticed that the upkeep of facility is not great. Stationary bike that has been out of order for a couple of weeks straight. And today, no sanitizing wipes anywhere in facility. When asked, front desk help just shrugged his shoulders and said they haven't got their supplies yet! Apparently, not a big deal!!

The personal trainers I have met and most of the staff that I have met are wonderful including the daycare helpers (my kids love them). My issues are with the actual establishment and their stupid policies. I was hospitalized unable to breathe (passing out alone with my children with severe asthmatic bronchitis)... I was in the hospital for several days and the doctor told me I needed to take it easy and recover over the next few weeks. He wrote me a note to freeze my account at the gym. Barre class with Kim Johnson was the worst class I've ever taken! Not sure where she came up with exercises but very few were barre related. Two people walked out of class early.

I got a membership at the Edge in Glastonbury. I liked the setup and equipment. I entered a 2-year membership. In the 2nd week, I realized that the club is over-subscribed and it isn't easy to get the right machine to work out. This is especially true after 4:00 PM on the weekdays. I am currently working and can only use the gym after 4:00 or 5:00 PM. So I asked the gym to cancel my membership. I tried with the gym and their headquarters. For a newer building, this gym is surprisingly dirty. The facilities don't seem well-maintained, which is disappointing given its age.

It is always jam packed. You can never get equipment and people are always busy posing and setting up for instagram pics. It is very clean staff are friendly. But a 1hr workout takes forever because you are waiting on equipment. I have been a member for one month and I wish I had gotten a membership somewhere else, however you only have 3 days to cancel. So I am stuck for a year. Should have stayed at my old gym

I was contacted by a male and when he called me he did not self identify and addressed me as hey is xxx there. Poor phone skills and I certainly would not try a membership based on this unprofessional phone call. Their franchise owner should train the employees how to speak full sentences and self identify when making an outgoing call.

My girlfriend and I had just moved to Colchester in June of this year. We were looking around for gyms and had narrowed it down to the Glastonbury edge and snap fitness in Colchester. We wanted to try out the edge to see if we liked it, so we wanted to see what our options were to test out the equipment. Absolutely miserable. Incredibly crowded at all hours of the day. It's impossible to get a squat rack, a bench, or even get into the free weight area. Peak hours last all day. There used to be some downtime around 1pm, but even that's not happening anymore. It's so frustrating to work a full day, summon the motivation to go work out, and then not even be able to get a piece of equipment because it's so crowded.
