Excellent and Prompt Care
I have been visiting The Emergency Clinic Alamo Heights since 2018 whenever I’ve come down with the flu, a cold, or even COVID. In the past, I’ve always received excellent care and felt well taken care of. Unfortunately, my most recent visit (my 8th overall) was very disappointing. I went in with symptoms of a sore throat, fever, clogged ears, nasal drainage, and a strong tension migraine. They couldn’t verify my insurance due to the system being down so they wanted a $200 payment before even touching me or speaking with a doctor and that the payment would be reimbursed after they can verify my insurance. It felt I was not treated as if I had an emergency though I was at an actual emergency clinic. They more so wanted to make sure they were getting paid first. I waited in pain until the next morning to see my primary doctor for a doctor visit of $16. I’m so glad I didn’t go here. Seemed sketchy.
