Great value and location I lived here for 1 1/2 years while in graduate school in Chicago. The location, proximity to public transportation and friendly staff make this place a must see. I loved having a 24 hour doorman, ample storage for bikes, and a workout and laundry facility on site. There was a change in management during my time, and while the level of service is still the same, they are a bit more stringent than before. An Excellent Option in Hyde Park I've been very happy in my two years living at Flamingo-on-the-Lake Apartments. The management staff, especially Julie Brown, are tremendously competent and engaged. All of the services I've requested--minor repairs, exterminator, etc.--have been completed incredibly quickly and well. The building is very well maintained and it's clear that they put a lot of care into it. Also, the pool is a great perk in the summer.
