Servings very large
Sat in the bar and got waited on by Evan! He was professional, funny, and made great suggestions. Got the New York strip with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Steak was tender and seasoned perfectly. This is a high class establishment with wonderful music and great vibe as well! One of Indy’s best restaurants!
It was really lovely food and service. It was very pretty and a relaxed atmosphere. A couple could likely expect to spend between $100 and $200 for dinner there.
The ambience was nice. However, for the price of the food it did not equal up in taste. The steak was tough and didn't have any flavor. The Mac and cheese didn't have flavor either. We never got any refills of our drinks. I actually had to ask for salt for my food too. For the price I would much rather go to Harry and Izzys.
The decor was cool and the service was great. The food on the other hand was pretty overpriced and just ok.
It was our first time at The Fountain Room. Very beautiful place, we enjoyed it very much overall. If I had to offer any points on constructive criticism it would be that our waiter, at the end of our meal, simply placed the bill on our table without even asking if we wanted desert. We might have actually ordered something if given the chance. Not a huge deal, but it would have been nice to have been offered the desert menu.
Our server was super sweet. The drinks were good. A downside was our ribeyes were charred and salty. My husband ordered his medium rare (knowing most people will overcook it) and it did come medium. The steak was juicy and flavorful but again you had to get past the hard char on the edges. The mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese were yummy as well.
We celebrated my husband's birthdya with out 2 sons. The restaurant is beautiful with dark wood and warm lighting. The menu is small, but with a great variety of options. The lobster bisque was creamy and delicious. The shrimp cocktail was unique, but not remarkable. They offer shareable salads which is great for a table of 4. However the cesar salad was under dressed. The entries are huge. Hubby and I shared a roasted chicken. It was fine, but I make the same or better at home. The bolognese presentation was odd with a clum... read more
This was our first time to visit this place and it will not be our last. We started out at the bar as we arrived a little early. They have some nice cocktails to choose from, and a really nice bourbon selection, including some allocated stuff. We moved to our table right on time. Our server, Landon, made some great suggestions. The Brie appetizer is fantastic. Steak was cooked to perfection. We added the horseradish crust. Sides, we had the brussels sprouts and the corn pudding. Both were really good. The corn pudding does h... read more
