What a fun evening! We picked The Fountain Room to celebrate a birthday as it was one of the few new restaurants downtown on the Devour Indy list. Brooke and Janet (trainee) were our servers and they did a great job of making sure our food arrived on time, drinks were filled, etc. The vibe is very energetic with lots of nods to Mid-century design. While the restaurant was busy, we were able to talk without resorting to screaming at each other to be heard, which seems to be an unfortunate trend in restaurant design these days... read more

Absolutely loved our experience! Jay was an excellent server, and everything we was ate was fabulous. Filet mignon cooked perfectly and the sides (mushrooms and brussel sprouts) were out of this world.

Nate was a fantastic server. He was attentive, kind, and provided wonderful recommendations. The table was adjacent to one of the entrances to the kitchen so it detracted from the overall ambiance especially as servers struggled around one another. You may want to consider having one door for entrance and another for exiting the kitchen to avoid having servers banging into one another. Also, seeing the dirty dishes and trash was not particularly appetizing.

Lunch with friends. We shared 2 appetizers, the Brie was delicious, didn’t care for relish tray. I had French onion soup, it tasted good but I didn’t care for the big chunk of bread. I had sliders mushroom and prime rib. The prime rib needed more flavor it was blah, good flavor for the mushrooms, I think the bun needed to be better, tasted like yesterday’s bread. I expected to be knocked off me feet and I left underwhelmed. I will say the service was great and the ambiance
