Had fish and chips. Wedge salad. I enjoyed. Hubby had Philly cheesesteak. Tasted better than it looked. Max was our server and nice. Also had whiskey and coke. Nice sipping drink. It’s a cool place.

The food is meh. This is the third time I’ve dined at the Fountain Room. The first time was great (brunch) we ordered the the croissant French toast and the breakfast scramble.. all good. Second time –also for brunch, I ordered the squash butter toast and was soggy, not good at all. The third time was yesterday– we ordered the sesame tuna and the mushroom truffle risotto. We visited The Fountain Room for the second time and for my birthday and like our first visit had a fantastic experience. The ambiance, food, and service are stellar and I would highly recommend trying this restaurant if you haven't had the pleasure.

We were seated by the front door, and the indoor doors were sticking open, allowing for the cold draft to come in. The hostess was unaware of the doors sticking open. Therefore I had to get up and pull the door closed every time it got stuck. My steak was a little over cooked. It was very noisy. Having said all that, we still enjoyed ourselves, and would go back and recommend to friends.

Busier than usual on a Saturday---however, the entrees are always well done and prepared. We've been here a few times without a bad meal or experience Great addition to the northeast end of Mass Ave along with Bottleworks

Overall, we enjoyed our dinner at The Fountain Room. Dessert was my favorite - the grasshopper pie! Our Brie appetizer was just so so. It came out cold and some pieces of the bread were stale. But the flavor was great and the crushed pistachios on top were a nice add. I do not recommend the button mushroom casserole. It was mostly sauce and fried onion strings with very little actual mushrooms. My steak was delish and my husbands tuna was good too.
