Made a reservation for 7 and were sat immediately upon arrival. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and started by breaking down some of the specialty cocktails. After drinks he gave us a run down of starters. We started out with the Brie Brûlée recommended to us by our waiter. It had amazing flavor, that balanced savory, sweet and spicy. The space is beautiful but the food was disappointing. The steak frites meat was tough the meatloaf average and salmon just ok. The bread with appetizer was very salty. The lemon pound cake was dry. The salads and sides were suburb!

What a fun evening! We picked The Fountain Room to celebrate a birthday as it was one of the few new restaurants downtown on the Devour Indy list. Brooke and Janet (trainee) were our servers and they did a great job of making sure our food arrived on time, drinks were filled, etc. The vibe is very energetic with lots of nods to Mid-century design. While the restaurant was busy, we were able to talk without resorting to screaming at each other to be heard, which seems to be an unfortunate trend in restaurant design these days... read more

Absolutely loved our experience! Jay was an excellent server, and everything we was ate was fabulous. Filet mignon cooked perfectly and the sides (mushrooms and brussel sprouts) were out of this world.

Nate was a fantastic server. He was attentive, kind, and provided wonderful recommendations. The table was adjacent to one of the entrances to the kitchen so it detracted from the overall ambiance especially as servers struggled around one another. You may want to consider having one door for entrance and another for exiting the kitchen to avoid having servers banging into one another. Also, seeing the dirty dishes and trash was not particularly appetizing.
