If you want to feel like royalty stay here for a night and get the complete experience. The rooms are breathtaking with lots of crown molding and gorgeous chandeliers. The food is prepared by their own in-house chef with many personal touches. Everything I ate was delicious especially the homemade jam. Everyone was so nice and made me feel very comfortable in this beautiful castle. So if you’re passing through or just want a night of relaxation this is definitely a must do.
The Murder Mystery show was very entertaining (the actors were superb). The food was okay.
Very neat experience! Thank you to the staff for making my wife’s birthday an enjoyable one. The owners did a wonderful job renovating the rooms and it looks like they are still building/improving. I do think it is much more family friendly at the moment vs. a true romantic getaway for adults. Maybe with attention to details and customer service it can excel at both. I would recommend for those to experience it and see for yourself!
My entire expirence was AMAZING! From driving in to driving out! The Castle is GRAND in every since of the word! The staff, and I mean the entire staff (whether it was our server or not) were absolutely gracious, kind, friendly, etc!!! The management and host staff made me feel at home as soon as I walked through the door! The food is soooo very good! The decor...well its Gorgeous!!!! I am already making plans to go back!
For a first time visit, me and my wife thought it was really good. Only bad thing was the choices on the menu for food. Wasnt much to choose from so we ended up going elsewhere to eat. And we had reserved a specific room and when we checked in, we were actually upgraded free of charge. We would book and stay again
The new owners of the Kentucky Castle have made it a great place where both locals and visitors can enjoy its beauty and elegance. Storytime and lunch with Princess Marie on Saturday was a wonderful experience for both my 4 year old granddaughter and me. We had a delicious kid and adult friendly lunch (love the farm to table emphasis!), Princess Marie told the children a story, they made crafts, had a tour of the castle, and sang and danced to their chosen songs with the princess. Obviously, beautiful getaway, but it would be nice to have more. For the amount we paid for one night, it would have been nice to have even one meal thrown in. Also, sound proofing the room doors would be nice as well. Overall, it was absolutely gorgeous and a once in a lifetime experience that we will never forget. Despite the negatives I mentioned, this was an unforgettable experience and those things should not deter anyone for staying at the castle.
