My Partner lived at this property from 2011-2017. The Management, Maintenance Staff, and everyone here are wonderful to deal with. Our apartment was flawless, main reason we stayed so long, the amenities were second to none, and whenever there was an issue, things were attended to promptly. I lived at this apartment community between 2019 to 2021. Let me just say, living here was perfect. Especially since I worked at OHSU and had a puppy. It's just a six minute walk to the aerial tram and a three minute walk to Dogtopia. A little further down from Dogtopia is a little park where lots of locals walk their dogs. I was lucky to have been a resident of The Matisse for over two years before moving out of Oregon. I was consistently impressed by the attentiveness and agility of the office staff and maintenance team, namely Bobbi Weedon and Tani Alten. The office staff was always quick to respond to inquiries and often bent over backward to ensure a positive experience for residents. My wife and I moved here from California a month ago and it has been great living at The Matisse. Coming from out of state, we were very meticulous on where to live and had a long list of prospective communities. After touring twice here (with Bobbi and then Tawnie) my wife and I saw that the amenities and location fit our needs perfectly. Super nice and secure apartments with fantastic office staff! Bobbi made our move in so easy, and we love being in the bustling SW Waterfront neighborhood!
No complaints so far! Leasing staff is beyond nice. I would say the apartment is on the basic side but for the price, you can't beat it. Sure if you spend a couple hundred more a month you can get some more bells and whistles but for our situation that wasn't needed. We have a great view of the water, it's quiet, and the building is kept clean.
What separated the Matisse from other apartments my girlfriend and I have rented was the management. From move in to move out, the management team in the building was super helpful every step of the way. They were far superior to any other apartment complex we've stayed at in Portland. Even with the maintenance staff being a little slow to respond to a broken dishwasher, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. What makes the Matisse the best are the people who work here. Maintenance and housekeeping people are just as friendly and helpful as the front office staff. We never feel like we're imposing when we talk with any of them. Every time, they make us feel like we're their most important resident. Really. The best place I've ever rented from! The staff is awesome and I've never met a rude person who lives here. Very clean, nice location, super pet friendly. Truly the dream apartment complex.
