I am a DJ that has provided my services at several weddings and receptions at the Milestone. I have been to many venues and the Milestone tops the list by far. I am always excited about being there and below are my candid thoughts: LANDSCAPING--Absolutely beautiful. When you pull into the property you follow a road then the Milestone comes into view. Valerie, I wanted to let you know just how much I enjoyed the Erwin and Meeks wedding. As you know I am the grooms mother and I can't tell you how impressed I was with the facility, food, organization and the people. I think this was probably the most organized wedding I have been a part of or have attended. I am still getting wonderful comments from guests even after over a month later! Valarie and her staff were amazing! The venue is absolutely gorgeous, and I felt like royalty the whole day. When I arrived the morning of my wedding, I was greeted at the front entrance by Milestone staff (Brandi) who helped me unload my car. I opted to decorate my wedding myself, I even flowers from a flower market, so I was a little nervous that my vision would come together... Brandi was amazing! I am a local wedding photographer who has had a chance to shoot at The Milestone several times now. The Milestone is an exquisite venue. I would recommend any bride! I have also worked with Valerie and she puts so much work into every detail. You are in WONDERFUL hands with her or any of her staff.
I have yet to have my actual wedding however it is quickly approaching. Tick, tock, tick, tock..... I just noticed that no one has reviewed The Milestone yet and I was shocked!! I looked everywhere in the DFW metroplex to find the perfect location for my wedding. I have toured over 50 venues total and I was still blown away by this place. There are several reasons for my rating. There was a general lack of communication from the venue staff. I had emailed with the general manager, Raegan, several times, but never met her in person. I know she was out for a bit for personal reasons, but we never saw her once, not even on my wedding day. The Walters Wedding Estates company has breathtakingly beautiful venues, but that is all you're getting out of booking with them. Do a quick google search and you'll find all the couples who are dealing with a nightmare during COVID because of this company. They gave no options for postponing except for during the initial shutdown. So for brides like me, with a date during the peak of the fall, we were given no choices. This venue has not been accommodating at all with COVID. I've started calling back in May about rescheduling. I was told I was unable because my date is so late in Nov. If I did early, it would be considered as a cancellation. In contract, cancellation is a forfeit of all cost. I kept calling back almost monthly to ask how about now...I was told they can have private events until state has a mandate lockdown.
