Was the maid of honor for a wedding in December and just like the last bad review, we experienced the same thing. This venue is beautiful and the spaces are just like the pictures but the management of the place/staff was a disaster. I felt like my family and I ran the entire wedding, I didn’t get to enjoy my sisters wedding like I should’ve. It has taken me a long time since the wedding to be able to write a review on this venue because the wedding was so emotional due to the mismanagement of this venue by the people who work on site and at the parent company that owns several locations across Texas. Working with them was exhausting and one of the worst experiences I have ever had. COVID issues aside, they do not follow contracts and will break your contract without your approval or choice. This venue is a very beautiful place to get married but the change in management has affected my rating a lot. The day of wedding coordinator didn’t know how to run things even after we wrote down details of how we wanted things set up and a timeline of when certain things start. She told our caterer that she was dismissed when there servers were suppose to clean the tables off and cut the cake before leaving. I was "grandfathered" in and happen to be working with them during a lot of there transitions and renovations. One of these being that there was a TABC license that was put into place and we were no longer able to do BYOB. My contract had already been changed without my consent and I had no other choice. The team was understanding of the situation and of what we had purchased and they gave me options to pay them separately for alcohol and they would be in charge of purchasing it or buying one of their outrageous packages. Personally, I wouldn't recommend The Milestone, based on my experience on my wedding day and how my guests were treated. Now that I have gotten my deposit back, I will explain why. PROS: The venue is pretty and spacious - The catering food was great - There are a lot of different ways you can utilize the space - The location, being off the highway makes it a quiet place to get married! NOT US Service Member friendly!! They will not refund your deposit if the groom-to-be is deployed! Nice way of showing support for our troops! AND they'll take another deposit when someone else books that date.
