The Penny Pub has been a staple of Bay Shore dating back to the early 1900’s. Originally known as “The Veterans Bar” our little pub has been a home for almost a century to everyday people veterans, locals , visitors , family and friends . In 1996 Al Lawrence purchased the pub, renovated and reopened it as the Half Penny Pub. A traditional neighborhood Irish Pub was born. The food was really good. I recommend the Dublin dip and the Grilled Chicken BLT for entrees. if you just want a couple appetizers and cocktails the Homemade fried Mac & Cheese is a good Choice and the wings are also delectable. The bartender was also friendly and a pleasure I will definitely come back.
I’ve never been. But their bartenders came to my bar and definitely chill people.
