The Penny Pub has been a staple of Bay Shore dating back to the early 1900’s. Originally known as “The Veterans Bar” our little pub has been a home for almost a century to everyday people veterans, locals , visitors , family and friends . In 1996 Al Lawrence purchased the pub, renovated and reopened it as the Half Penny Pub. A traditional neighborhood Irish Pub was born. Great service from friendly bar staff, great music playing, all round amazing atmosphere. Would happily trade the 2 pubs in my village for this one.
Need a late night snack and drink?! The penny pub is a the place to go! Always open late with a fully stocked bar and kitchen!! The bartenders are always friendly and cracking jokes with the customers. The food never disappoins and neither does the drinks!
