Great historical train ride, conductors giving information as we ride along, friendly towns folk wave as we go through town to the Redwoods, neat old train, observation car safe for kids. All this plus a great station and gift shop. Highly recommend for individuals and families, alike!

You get to see beautiful scenery as you move through the Redwood Forest at a mild speed....which makes for wonderful photographs. My husband and I rode the Skunk Train last Sunday and loved it. The conductor was wonderful and informative. Beautiful scenery. The people inside the gift shop were just as nice. My husband mentioned that we were there for our anniversary and the ticket lady gave us free drink coupons. We had a wonderful experience. Will definitely come back.

Grew up on that old steamer. I love that old engine.
Took my boyfriend and my son on the Crab and Wine Train-It was awesome! Loved the Chowder Bread Bowl! Would love to have a bit more than one glass of wine for the price of the ticket though, or at least fill the souvenier glass completely! Loved how the train was decorated as well for the theme. And the gift bags were cool! Will most definitely be back!
Fort Bragg : It was a fun trip for the kids but overpriced. The tunnel is closed so your trip is really just seeing everything twice and there wasn't much to see anyways. Maybe the Willits train ride is better, we may check it out one day.
