I booked an appointment with The Smilist for a cleaning. Three weeks prior to my cleaning, my wisdom tooth was bothering me a lot. I knew that tooth had to go. I could not wait three weeks for my appointment, so I was able to get an emergency appointment on a Saturday afternoon with Dr. Vahid Ipekchi. They took x-rays and checked out the tooth and sure enough it had a hole. Dr. Ipekchi explained to me how he was going to extract the tooth. This office is so amazing ! The best dental experience I have ever had; the office is very clean, the staff are very efficient and they make sure that each patient is treated with the upmost care. Liz was very helpful when I made my appointment through ZocDoc she called me not very long after I made the appointment to confirm with me and she was very pleasant and clear about what the appointment would consist of. ***Beware****The Smilist Dental Wantagh...their phone number is (516) 785-5239 we have been going here for years my whole family then we switched dental insurance they called me stating they ARE IN NETWORK AND WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY NOTHING! They know our situation from previous dental offices where they would send us bills after saying a certain amount ! Wish I could leave negative stars. They lost 2 longtime patients without a care. Was told "Not sorry to see you go". The receptionist are rude, nasty and unprofessional. An inexperienced hygienist (they can not seem to keep hygienists that long) cut my mouth gave me a swollen lip she wouldn't stop when I asked her to do I got up to leave and she yelled at me. First time here at Smilist in July 2022 for a regular cleaning. They told me i needed a deep cleaning but will need to confirm with my insurance for coverage. They called me to confirm I was covered and scheduled me for 1st part of deep cleaning yesterday 10/10/22. On my way out, to my surprise Lisa the manager told me I have to pay 30% or 70% of the bill. I've visited dr. Foreman about 5-7 times now. Today will be my last. Back in December i needed a root canal on #15. I was nervous. It was my first root canal. Everything went fine. Except weeks later when the permanent crown went in, something wasn't right. I lived with the pain for almost 2 weeks thinking it was all in my head. I finally went back.
