My Mother is 95 years old and had been living in a memory care facility out os Texas. Village of Meyerland offered a smaller 28 unit, personal environment that we felt would be a real improvement over the current situation Mother was at currently. My loved ones has thrived since coming to this community. I'm relieved to see the positive impact of having such a caring & attentiveness group. My own well-being has benifited greatly too! Its also a true joy to be a guest and enjoy the great atmosphere a d meals. This community has easy access to the highways and a close proximity to many top notch hospitals. I was extremely pleased with The Village of Meyerland. The experience went well.
First of all let me just say well done to all the recruiters at this place. The staff here is so amazing. They make the residents feel like family. So for this I truly thank you. I’ve heard wonderful things about your chef [name removed], from my aunt, so I’m glad I got the chance to meet her. Looks like all the Residents love her and the great job she’s doing at the site. Can’t wait to hear about what you guys have in-store for the residents next.
Meals are paid for regardless if a resident eats a a meal at the facility. Would be more cost effective for residents to only be charged for the meals that are eaten. Communication can be lacking. Several times we have left voice messages and texts for the head nurse but have not received timely responses.
I would say the memory care staff was the best of the best. Always kind and good to communicate. They worked very well with Hospice when it was time to bring them in. The facility is in a great location. The management changes like the wind and the transition is painful with little communication. I hear it's the same for most assisted living communities. I would recommend this facility for the floor staff alone. They were awesome!
