I worked for this for profit business for 2.5 years and the things I witnessed were very disturbing, especially from the founder. Spend your money on a fun vacation and donate to your local non-profits. Mission trips = Modern day colonization
I believe we were able to accomplish the objectives of our recent missions trip to Belize through Thirst Missions. Having served on multiple medical mission teams in over 6 countries, I began preparing as this trip's medical director 8 months in advance. The first email we received requesting medical licenses was on June 11,2019 for our Oct. 20, 2019 trip. We were told we had until June 29th to collect all the needed information. We were on a medical mission and after doing the appropriate paperwork supplied to us by Thirst our medical supplies were unable to go through customs because the paperwork was not sufficient. We then went to Guatemala to purchase medical supplies and were able to complete the mission trip. The Thirst corporate office failed us which almost resulted in our having to return to the United States. The Thirst staff were excellent that went with us to the village of Arenal, Belize. Please help the people in Rockport Texas. Many never got the help they needed when Hurricane Harvey destroyed much of the town. There are still many homes and buildings that were not rebuilt. Now they are getting tropical storms and lots of flooding.
