Great Food and service!!!
Had such potential! Great location - right off highway and right at Wantagh LIRR stop. Food is nothing special and the service is CONSISTENTLY lacking (slow, not great customer service, etc). Bartender tried hard but clearly is inexperienced. We have been there several times over the years and every year or so decided to try “one more time” and are always disappointed - no matter which night of the week we dine. Food was delicious and fresh. Waiter was rather curt and service was rushed.
The food was absolutely amazing! The only complaints I had were that it was a little too loud in the restaurant area (which is to be expected when you have a smaller size room with the amount of tables they have) and the service was a bit slow. The waitress we had was great at first, very attentive, but after our entrees were brought out, we sat there with our plates still on the table for at least a half hour - maybe 45 minutes - before someone stopped by to see if they could wrap our leftovers. Loved this place ! The food was outstanding. The service was a little slow, but it gave you time to enjoy your cocktail and talk before eating. I liked it that we weren't rushed.
Waitress (Jennifer) outstanding! Great personality and very efficient. Other staff very busy always, but quietly. Food just superb!
We’ve been going to Thom Thom for years. It’s OK at best. Considering we’ve been going for years, the servers never recognize repeat customers. I can’t even tell you how many times Matt has waited on us. That’s one thing gat separates Thom Thom from other local, more server friendly restaurants. I also wish they’d invest in better wine glasses. Red wine is not supposed to be served in those tiny glasses. The quality of the glasses is terrible.
