Everything about our dining experience was absolutely fantastic.
This location used to be my place to go pre-covid. Been back once or twice for take-out and food was good. Had lunch yesterday and although the food good it certainly wasn’t like it use to be. Portions much smaller, prices way higher, just the usual what is taking place everywhere. The place has seen much better days. My wife and I were slipping on the wet floor between the bar area and the bathrooms. Happened twice and the manager saw it and said he would take care of it. The booth was too small for 6 people but we made it work. It was pretty loud that night. But the food was excellent and we went to the Altamonte store last night.
Anything on the menu is outstanding. In all the years I have been gogoing to Tibby's I have never had a bad meal.
The red beans and rice is delicious every time. I can’t come and not order a cup! The spicy sausage link they serve with it is so flavorful, and although it is spicy, I wouldn’t say it’s hot. It’s perfect. Tried the eggplant casserole for the first time and it was delicious! If you love eggplant you have to try this! Full of flavor, delicious peppers, tomatoes, and Cajun spices. I lived in New Orleans for 42 years. Tibby's food is as good as any food from a New Orleans restaurant. They know how to fry seafood that is not greasy, and the quality is great. The ambiance is pure New Orleans (without the filth!). Service is great and so are the bar options. My only complaint would be the onion rings. I prefer battered (not breaded). They switched to breaded some time ago.
We decided to come to this restaurant because I changed my mind on where we’d like to brunch. I’m so very happy that I did! The atmosphere is welcoming, warm and a good time overall. Our food was delicious and they even gave me a birthday desert. A bonus was the singer hosting brunch that song to me and everyone joined in. The manager was nice enough to pay for our meal since it was our first time coming. We’ll definitely be back!
I frequently visit Tibby's in Altamonte Springs. This was first time at Winter Park location. Both are great.
This was not our first visit but was our 1st visit for Sunday Brunch (happened to be Easter). It's our favorite NoLa cuisine restaurant outside of NoLa. As usual, food was delicious. Bloody Marys and Hurricanes always wonderful. Server was wonderful; management was checking with us perhaps too much but better than being ignored.
