The communication of the why was missing. Funds were requested two weeks before close date and this makes no sense to me. The conversation about rate match had errors and edits and emails were recalled...

I dealt in very good faith with Tim Lam and Vinson but unfortunately I did not receive the same back. I felt as if he only cared about receiving my business and taking my money rather than creating a great first-time home buying experience for me. His emails were absolutely rude and he acted like he was doing me a favor when he was causing the inconvenience. He also lacked in communication and would send things to me last minute, expecting me to sign with no due diligence. Would not recommend.

Covid played a huge role in why this experience was not what I anticipated. Home purchases are one of the if not the largest financial decision one makes. Communication could need improvement. I felt I was the one reaching out to get updates without getting up to date information. Changes were made I was unaware of in terms of the loan. The process felt less personable when everything was done over text or phone.

Tim was never able to clarify question on certain closing charges. Also, I received closing disclosure three times and amount kept increasing every time. Also the mortgage rates I was told at the time of booking was not honored, and it was increased by 0.5% a week later after I paid deposit and signed purchase agreement. I felt cheated on the rate.
