I used Ivan’s services for the last 30 years and currently needed a special service for a medical boot to support my leg and ankle area after a double fracture. I approached Jamie now in the Sherborne shop, the special material to resole the left boot was ordered, and the boot taken in at 9 and picked up at 4 , the same day by pre arrangement. I have had many pairs of shoes repaired here over the years. Always does the most fantastic job, far better than Timpson's or any similar place. Recent repair of an old pair of Chelsea boots blew me away! and at a very reasonable price as well. Couldn't recommend more. Support local independent businesses.
Poor. Timpson's Sherborne recently replaced a lovely independent chap called Ivan, who very sadly passed recently. They didn't have the length of blank I needed (Ivan used to) and weren't able/willing to recommend anywhere else. I phoned around myself, and went to Touch of Glass in Yeovil. They didn't have it either, but went out of their way to be helpful and ordered some in. Support your independents.
Excellent repairs on my favourite boat shoes, saved me buying a new pair. Extremely reasonable cost too. Edit:- Recently had the soles of a pair of non-branded trainer type shoes glued back on, very successful. Edit 2:- The toecap of one of a much loved pair of brogue boots had come unstitched, fantastic repair almost invisible and once again at very reasonable cost. Definitely 5*
