Dr. Moldawer answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable after and before my procedure.

Dr. Moldawer is Excellent and Outstanding. When I first met with him he quickly identified the source of my discomfort, proposed a less radical surgical procedure that I had not anticipated, and gave me peace of mind that all was going to go well. He and the SCOI staff did an outstanding job of preparing me for the surgery and assisting me in my recovery. There are not enough words for me to express my appreciation for his surgical talents and to thank him for making me feel much, much better.

Dr. Moldawer was the least respectful and least professional doctor I have ever seen. He stared at his computer screen 95% of the time I was in the room (with his back to me) while I was in excruciating back pain, looking for help and relief. The extent of his "exam" was a couple of hammer hits to check my reflexes and a 15 second palpation on my lower back. With this, his prognosis was, "you need an MRI." With those words, he walked out of the room. He didn't offer assistance getting me up on the exam table or off of it and... read more

I had surgery, a double cervical fusion in 2008. Dr. Moldawer did not have a very good bedside manner but, I was more concerned about him being a good surgeon. Surgery went well. I was injured on the job in 2017. In 2018, we drove 3 1/2 hours for an opinion about possible need for surgery on another cervical level. Two surgeons had already told me I needed surgery. Dr. Moldawer, basically complained he couldn't read the MRI and Catscan, then rudely said," I don't know why you're having pain, any other questions"? I was so du... read more

Dr. Moldawer missed the boat with me. I gave him my long history of lower-back pain and leg numbness—plus a recent MRI and EMG—but he was clueless about how to fix my pain. He tried an epidural injection at L5, which didn't work, and then another at L4. That didn't work, either. After the second injection, I contacted his office twice to discuss the results, but he didn't have the courtesy or professionalism to call me back. Fortunately, I found another doctor, who's terrific.
