I had a kitten named Clyde. He died yesterday around 6pm… I had an emergency. A REAL emergency. It was 5:43pm when I called them and asked for help. Clyde had been attacked by a group of dogs. He wasn’t even 6 months old yet. When I called and told the receptionist that this was an emergency, I was told to go to UF Pet Emergency, because they were closing soon… oh.. and to have a “great night “I might have made it to Town & Country in time to save him. I am not a client of this animal hospital… I did get a chance to interv... read more

Business response:

We are sorry for your loss of Clyde. Working in the veterinary field, we know time is of the essence. At 5:43, we were finishing up our regularly scheduled appointments and any extra appointments that were worked in that day. At that time, especially with a new patient we have never seen, for an emergency, we would absolutely refer to UF PETS (located 10 min away from us) as they are better equipped to handle such a critical case. If anyone thinks a vet is in it for the money, please look into the salary of a veterinarian, ... read more

have been taking my 3 dogs to this animal hospital for 7 years. My experience has been great with them up until 2019. One of my fur babies started acting abnormal an lethargic and having skin issues. They pulled blood and did a urinalysis. I trusted the vets word that the results were normal and my dog just had allergies. Fast forward to 2020, my dog began to loose weight rapidly and become very lethargic. I again brought him back trusting the vets that work in The office and they pulled blood an did a urinalysis again. Once... read more

Business response:

Hi Kim, We’re saddened to hear that your fur baby is not doing well. We truly wish him and you the very best and peace at this time. We are a bit confused with this review as we only saw your pet once in early 2019 for a well visit and a heartworm test. We did not see him again until 2021 when he presented for marked weight loss. At this visit, we discovered he had a severe infection of hookworms which can cause weight loss and mild anemia. Perhaps you went to another hospital between 2019 and 2021, and are confusing them... read more

had an appointment for my wolf/ hybrid mix. Russian Somoyed, Shepard, timberwolf mix. Has a tumor near his anus. This place made me wait almost 2 weeks and called me today 2/19/21 and his appointment is on Monday 2/22/21 told me they can not see him because of his breed. why did this place wait so long to tell me. He is just an animal in need. Really pissed off. This is like my child. Wouldn't recommend this place if it was the last place on earth. Non caring Ed Olsen MORRISTON, FL

Who checks your Emails? In the past 8 days I have sent you 5 emails to 97paws@gmail.com & directly from your Web Site. UF Pet ER sent you 3. Mine requested a response. To date nothing as far as a response.

Been a loyal customer for more than 3 years but have seen the front desk staff less and less engaged. Today had 9am follow-up appointment with Dr Hirmer, waited 45 minutes for vet to come it and it was a different vet. Not sure I'll recommend this practice going forward. Good vets, good techs, but customer service is severely lacking.

Nice office and nice / caring staff but they cannot quote surgeries well and the vets are not aligned on procedure / hardware to repair a broken bone. Brought a young puppy here with a broken femur. The quote was $1400+ to repair with a screw after the $150 exam/X-ray fee. We paid for the surgery in full and after dropping her off for the surgery they called and said another vet determined a screw wasn’t best and that a plate was needed. Prior to the surgery they informed us it would be $1000 additional and that the person... read more

Business response:

Thank you for your feedback. We are so sorry that you were dissatisfied and we'll try to improve things in the future. Upon original review of your pets radiographs by the surgeon, the original surgery that was selected was quoted to you. Upon further review of the radiographs prior to surgery, the surgeon offered an alternative approach that would cost more but would improve the outcome for your pet. We try to always go over these options at every visit, but there can be varying opinions on the best treatment approach for d... read more

Not charge a walk-in fee of $100.00 because a neighbor did not have an appointment. She does not have internet for online scheduling and she brought her dog to TCAH because she was concerned about the dog.
