As we walked in, the manager/maitre d had just sampled a piece of pizza. He graciously played it off by saying they had the best pizza in the city and we should try it. It was a light, fun way to start our evening. At our table, the first question asked was if we were going to a show. (We were). The waiter guaranteed that we would be out in plenty of time and we were, while never feeling rushed. The food and service were both stellar. I highly recommend the Pepperoni Chicken Parmesan. Back for first time in 2 years. Food as good as ever. Chicken parm w pepperoni amazing! Pasta a little dry but excellent. Prices do seem much higher than I remember though.
Noise level was extremely high. There was a large very loud party in the middle of the room which caused all the other diners to talk loudly to be heard. The Caesar salad was very fresh but the petite Dover sole was disappointing. The strawberry cake was huge and delicious. The vegetable medley was just ok. Prices were about 10% higher than similar restaurants in the neighborhood. We will return to try other dishes.
I love this place. This is my 3rd time coming here and it is almost as if it gets better. There are multiple things on the menu that sounded absolutely delicious that it was almost a struggle to pick. Very nice bottles of wine are reasonably priced - and if you are interested in the Filet Mignon you will get one cooked to perfection and the price is magnificent. Also, the Tiramisu is a show stopper. Nom nom. Enjoy! P.S. Bring back the Bellini
The food was good and the location ideal if you’re going to Carnegie Hall. It’s quite pricey for what you get, and very loud. Not a place for quiet conversations.
Terrific place and the food is uniformly delicious and nicely presented. It is deservedly very busy, and the staff is impressive in their ability to keep things moving while being very pleasant and well mannered. It can be on the noisy side, especially when crowded with pre-Carnegie Hall diners. So maybe not the place for a quiet conversation, but overall experience was excellent.
Greeted by the very friendly host & seated at a wonderful booth. Our waitress was very outgoing & professional. Was so nice to see Carlos after 3 years. Our meal was amazing - loved the octopus- calamari casserole & the entree was outstanding - had the Seafood Pappardelle - so delicious - was like we were in Italy -
My husband ordered the special chicken parmigiana dish with pepperoni--I think his serving size could have fed a small family. He enjoyed his dinner and looks forward to his left-overs. I order the Ravioli Bolegnese and the focaccia that included pesto and served warm another enjoyable addition and I too was pleased with my dinner. We shared tiramisu for dessert--excellent. Our server Alban was delightful and provided excellent service. We are out of town guests and pleased with this choice while visiting NY.
Best soft shell crab anywhere. Pasta cooked to perfection.
