The restaurant is very good overall, but pre- Carnegie Hall event dinning is crowded and it took over 3 attempts to get someone to bring butter to our table (for some reason it doesn't automatically come with the bread).
Found this restaurant at the last minute on Open Table. We went pre-theatre. The restaurant is really big inside with lots of nooks and crannies - very unassuming from the street. There is outside seating but it is a very busy street and there is a bus stop right near the restaurant. This was not appealing on a humid and loud night. Excellent every time we dine. Service is great and the food outstanding. Try he veal chop made three different ways
The antipasto is great and the food is wonderful - great Place to have dinner prior to going to Carnegie Hall.
Old world Italian ambiance with a mix of tourists and locals. Good pre-theater option with well-prepared, traditional New York Italian food. Our group (tourists) enjoyed the people watching as well as the food. Another plus is that you can easily catch a cab into the theater district as the walk is long.
Served very very quickly. Pizza was good but liver was too chewy and saucy. Loud and busy, but the place to be.
Food was excellemt but service was horrible. We never received any bread. They served our meal and never asked if we would like fresh pepper or cheese. Took 5 mins to find the waiter. Food was cold thr time.we got.our cheese and peppper. 4 people, they bring 3 glasses of water? Asked 3x for a refill of water. Never came around to see if everything was ok? I've had better sevice at the average pizzeria. Shame, good was excellent
Food and service were fantastic! This may have been our favorite meal during our trip to the city. Everything we had tasted amazing and the service was hands down the best we experienced during our trip. Only negative was that table are crammed together and it is loud but that is common for the area.
good food, value, menu location drinksxxxxxx and service
