This restaurant is popular with those attending performances at Carnegie Hall . It is on the other side of 7th Avenue from the entrance to Carnegie Hall. On Thursday it was unbelievably crowded and noisy. The tables are close together, and ertainly not appropriate for anything other than a quick bite before a concert. We have other restaurants in this area of New York City that are preferable to this one. The menu is good, but expensive offerings.
The food here was outstanding! The flavors were such that I continuously made comments while eating "mmmmm!". In addition, they were extremely accomadating. My friend only wanted a traditional spaghetti and meat sauce (which was not on the menu) and they very happily created a dish to her liking. The desserts were also delightful!
Very good old school Italian food. The antipasto bar is phenomenal and the Veal Chop parmesan is world class. Service was excellent for our pre-theatre needs and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Always a favorite when we visit NYC
Even though we were late and it's their busiest day ever, before the marathon, we had the world's best waiter! Mr. Joey D. Got us everything we wanted and was very sweet.
Yellow tail tune was spectacular. Lobster salad, unfortunately, had too much bread in it. Our server was distracted, forgot my husband's espresso, but I closed it in the bill with two extra ones that we did not order. Instead of an apology we heard "oops, long day!" The atmosphere through was pleasant, and we had a good experience overall!
We have been to the restaurant several times and have enjoyed our meal.
Great antipasto bar with vegetarian options. Classic service and friendly wait staff makes for a fun evening.
It came highly recommended for the food and wine, and it did not disappoint. It was also within easy walking distance of our hotel and several hotels near Carnegie Hall. The only mild annoyance was how very close the tables were together. It was impossible to talk even softly without being overheard.
Absolutely delightful...attentive and welcoming staff and delicious food.
