I am an Italian American who grew up in upstate NY and has frequently visited NYC over the last 20 years. I have dined at many Italian restaurants all across the country. There was absolutely nothing bad about this experience, and the restaurant even excelled in some areas (i.e., service and atmosphere). For me, a 3 = "meets expectations." Mike was exceptional-fun and attentive! We loved the ravioli! And all the delicious sides!
I always enjoy the antipasto bar. Yummy veggies, savory preparations. Chicken Parm was huge and tasty. I appreciate getting the table I requested. Will definitely return.
