This is a fun restaurant. Good food in an interesting ambience. Works as well for a romantic twosome as it does for a group outing. I've been there at least a dozen times and have been dissapointed.
Reliable Italian by Carnegie Hall. Main dining room gets really noisy, but upstairs is quieter! Beware! If you order shrimp the heads will still be attached.
Across from Carnegie Hall. Italian cusine. Carciofi alla Giudea (Artichokes Jewish style from Rome)are great. You can eat at the bar.
Wonderful dining experience with excellent well prepared Italian food in a casual atmosphere. The service was attentive but not obtrusive.
Arrived at 6:15 for our 6:15 reservation and were seated promptly. The waitress arrived soon after to take our drink orders and was present every time we needed something without hovering. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Many of their entrees are in the $30 - $50 price range, though serving sizes ar... read more
very confused staff, from seeting to waiters. we were meeting another couple & after we were seated for 1/2 hr , we found out they were waiting for us at the bar. we had both with the hostchecked-in prices were much higher than reported. some very good dishes, some just OK
First call Northern Italian cuisine -- especially the appetizers.
Lovely brunch with friends... one guest had prosciutto, the other two had eggs Benedict, and the waiter was Australian and extremely nice, funny, and accomodating...Trattoria del Arte is one of my favorite places to take friends for elegant, satisfying food and conversation. The bottle of red wine was very good and everyone had a great time.
