Issues were more with Churchill Mortgage and their internal policies rather than the service from Victor himself. Can't say the service was better than ok, since at the end of the day, they did miss our closing date.

I had 72 & 48 he check-ins before closing and was told everything was in order. At 5pm the night before closing I found out we didn't have the survey and might not close on time. This disconnect caused unnecessary stress and worry.

Victor is customer service period! However, his colleagues, not so much; being asked to provide the same documents day in and day out - only to check her (Kathy Sears) to find that she already has them. If I had time to swith lenders, I definitely would have. Paperwork incorrect, yet she (Kathy Sears) wants you to go ahead and sign anyway. No, not how I do business!!! Just as the lender wants the documents to be accurate, as the customer, I expect the same. Again, Victor was great!

I found the need for repetitive paper work a bit irritating. We really needed a more comprehensive list going into the process in order to complete the process more smoothly

As a Dave Ramsey listener, my husband and I use cash for a lot of things. We stick money back in envelopes and save for things that we want later. With this being said, it was such a hardship for us to use cash during this whole transaction because there was not a paper trail. This is all because we could be drug dealers and that is why we have cash. This does not make any sense to me that saving money is a penalty because you could have made that money illegally. Too much to list on this.

Victor was great. And, in the beginning the process was good with a lot of communication. But, although I replied to every request quickly, I had to initiate nost of the contact with other personnel in the last half of the process. I didn't like wondering when I was going to close for quite a while, with no date commitment. Also it took too long to lock in the rate. I closed faster with a local mortgage broker on my initial mortgage.
