Excellent experience. The ambiance was beautiful and the service was impeccable. The food was creative and interesting, but not over the top. I was very happy with the experience and cannot wait to go back!
Vida is a great addition to the locally-based restaurant scene. It also fills a gap in the availability of creative cuisine on the near-East side. We'll definitely go back.
The food was outstanding, I had the sea bass and it was one of the best I have ever eaten.....however, you are pricey....I will definitely come back , but only on a special occasion

Service was great. We appreciated the glass of rose for our anniversary. This is our 2nd time at the restaurant. Bthe first visit the food was all perfect, and that's saying something. This time the food was very good save for the scallop entree which was mediocre. The scallops were find but the peas were flat and flavorless and the texture was terrible (not tender at all) which is inexcusable at this price point, particularly when they are in season (we had excellent peas earlier this weak at Cerulean). The ambience at Vida was nice. The food was good, but not outstanding for the price point. I ordered the Chowder to start. It was delicious but when brought to table it had a bit of film to the top, which was not visually pleasing. For my dinner I chose the scallops. They were prepared perfectly, but I am not sure I would order again as I could make the same dish at home quite easily. My husband ordered the soft shell crab and said it was good but not great. If I were to open my own restaurant, Vida would be that place. It's like they plucked the décor, menu, service and music straight from my head. While this is not a place to go for a cheap dinner, I would willingly pay the price for anything they serve. We had 4 in our party (Father's Day celebration). My husband and I both had the tasting menu, and enjoyed nearly everything. While the flavor combinations don't always work perfectly, the kitchen staff is taking risks that mostly pay off. The ingredients are fresh, and the execution in terms of cooking the food is excellent. For fine dining, I think you get a good value. Great food, GREAT drinks, and an elegant environment. The bartender specially made us a drink which was amazing! Waiter was attentive, well groomed, and did a great job as well!
