We went in on a Thursday night with no reservation. We were warmly greeted our names taken and we were shown to the bar for a drink while we waited. The bar service was prompt and the drinks were good. We were even given water before our drinks were made which is a crucial step most often overlooked by bartenders in my experience. The menu here was lovely. as is the ambience. We enjoyed the first course...the green salad and the beet dish. When it came to entrees, almost everything included a pork product, and two of our group did not eat pork. We were told the dishes can be modified, but we did not choose this alternative. Two had the chicken dish..with lobster and too much butter. This dish was tasty but overly reliant on richness and frying to creat crispy skin. One of the top tier restaurants in town that is not a steakhouse.
Wonderful dining experience. It's hard to believe the transformation from an old, tiny Italian restaurant to the gorgeous facility that Vida is today. The waitstaff was very attentive and answered all of our questions while giving excellent suggestions off the menu. An extensive wine list and lots of fun cocktails make me want to visit again very soon. Our food came out very promptly and was delicious. We tried the tagliatelle, beef short ribs, shrimp and pork belly. No leftovers for us. Great date night.
Our group of friends were highly anticipating our first dining experience at the new flagship of the Cunningham Group fleet of restaurants, Vida. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Fantastic cocktails! Great Tastings menu with wine pairing. We really appreciated the attention the hostess paid in seating is in the wine room.
This was easily one of the best dining experiences we've had in Indianapolis. The entire package was warm, friendly and comfortable with exceptional food.
Vida is the best restaurant that has opened in Indianapolis in a few years. Food was great, service was great, great ambiance, and best of all, the wine list is by far the best in the city. Some very good wines priced very reasonably.
The food and service was very good. If you want to talk at all do not sit in the bar. It is ridiculously loud for dining.
