Purchased a **** Camaro from them last year. Everything was going good until i drove it home. The A/C was blowing out fluid and upon taking it to my mechanic the brakes locked up. Was told the front ball joints were replaced prior to pick up which is not true. The mechanic said the brakes were installed backwards and therefore there was no way this car had been inspected before delivery. The delivery process was a nightmare! Took over a month to get my car and was told in the beginning it would take 2 weeks **** Had 4 differ... read more
Business response:
We appreciate all feedback, good and bad because it helps us grow. However there is a lot of misleading information in your review. This car was listed in our incoming inventory, meaning it had not been serviced or processed yet and that is how the car was represented and being sold to you. Our description was very minimal because it had not been processed. Here is the link to our description https://www.********.com/vehicles/16387/1968-chevrolet-camaro-ss. During the purchase process you had been out and inspected the car y... read more
To Anyone thinking about Buying at Volo , my name is *** , I have had the honor of finding cars for The Volo Museum! They are a very professional Group! I have worked with *** and Samy, and They both are extremely helpful, and thorough!
So I bought a gorgeous 68 Camaro from Volo. Buying experience was great. Car delivered without issues. Was having a great time driving it. Owned it for 2 weeks and maybe drove for a couple of hours. Then after a drive, parked and car caught fire. Totally destroyed. Why did this happen? Unknown. Fire destroyed the entire front end so really impossible to determine cause. Best guess is some kind of fuel issue. It was a classic car bought as is and I'm not suggesting there was any liability on their part. My insurance covered t... read more
Business response:
Hello ********, It is very unfortunate that you had lost your car to a fire and we appreciate the fact that you acknowledge this isn't something that we could have predicted or prevented. However I believe the communication between yourself and our salesman **** has some loss in translation or miscommunication. You had sent **** an email and then followed up with a phone call asking him to find you another car, **** did not solicit you, nor was he trying to be unsympathetic. His response of, "that is too bad but I can sell y... read more
Well, my initial review is below where they straightened out my issues with the rear end. But the shifting issues have continued. I thought they were going to be minor and could be fixed with an adjustment. Struggled through the summer putting on less than 150 miles. *** the transmission needs rebuilt. Enough said.
Business response:
******* purchased a 50+ old car as-is with no warranty. He contacted us a couple months after his purchases about some issues with the car, he specifically mentioned the rear-end and transmission. Because we stand behind our cars we offered ******* nearly $4,000 to use towards the repairs, which he not only accepted but left a glowing review where he specifically mentioned the shifting and rea-end issue. Several more months pass and the transmission goes out. It is nearly a year after his purchase, he was already compensated... read more
Bought a ************** from them. The problems are never ending.
Business response:
Hello ***, I see you purchased a Camaro from us back in 2019. We have not heard any complaints from you until this review. The review doesn't specify what the issues are, if they are typical in nature of a **************************** not. Collector cars do require more maintenance and repairs than a newer vehicle. We also do not restore the cars we sell, we only buy and sell cars in as-is condition. However if there was a legit complaint, we do stand behind our cars to the highest reasonable degree.
On Friday June 11, I accepted their offer to trade my 61 Lincoln on their 63 Thunderbird asking if they would pay shipping. On Saturday salesman replied that he would work on the deal. On Monday I notice website shows sold. When salesman returned to work on Tuesday he informed me that car sold to person who out of the blue came in bought car. I asked how that is possible since I had accepted their offer pending whether they or I paid shipping. If this dealership had any integrity they would tell the other buyer that due to p... read more
Business response:
Jim, I am sorry you missed out on the 1963 Thunderbird. While you and Joey were in talks about the trade-in of your car you were still early in the discussion process and a deal / commitment was not yet agreed to. Joey gave you a sight unseen trade-in figure which was contingent to additional information from you about your car and your offer was contingent to us paying shipping for both cars, something we did not yet agree upon and is a several thousand dollar gap in the offer. You were also still asking questions about our... read more
KEN G. I purchase a 1956 **** COE... around four months ago. I have other classics and always had great experiences with the dealers. I seen the video that they put on different social media platforms. I’m sure you can still find the 15min. Video. I watched the video and it stated that you could drive this truck across the USA. We’ll, it made it about 20 miles down the road and actually broke down twice before getting to Virginia, then had to tow the truck to the restoration shop that works on other projects for me. After th... read more
Business response:
The truck Ken is describing was a fresh build with only 300 miles. It is a complete custom build at a cost of over $250,000. Any build this fresh requires test miles to shake out the bugs. Nowhere in our ad does it say it could drive across the USA, as a matter of fact our salesman told the buyer not to drive it back, to have it shipped and put local miles on it. We were offering free shipping at the time and the buyer declined the shipping and took the credit which was about $4000. The buyer sent his own diesel mechanic out... read more
I bought a 1970 Dodge Super Bee "rotisserie restored" vehicle for $75,000.00 Near every statement made in the sales video was inaccurate. Any who wish can have a copy of the inspection report (from a a AAA Mecum mechanic) to compare to the video (just e mail me). It was NOT a frame of restoration and it doesn't appear that it was ever on a rotisserie. In fact they literally painted over dirt and weeds! The car's electrical issues were extensive. In fact this delayed delivery for over 1 month. When the car arrived, the electr... read more
Business response:
Robert had sent over a list of issues, all minor in nature. One of the items pointed out was an oil leak, he sent us a picture of oil on the hood of the car. Oil leaks do not drip onto the hood of a car. We were willing to work with Robert on the minor repairs but Robert did not want to deal with it, instead he offered to sell us the car back at a price he determined. We accepted his offer and bought the car back. Quite frankly the car was worth more than he paid and that is when the issues started, when he saw we priced the... read more
Mr. grams lied that my car was ground up redone he lied about the transmission he lied about the interior terrible company don’t ever buy a car from them
Business response:
I'm sorry you are not happy with the car. However, the car was frame-off restored, the interior was new and being a 4 speed, there is very few places to leak from and would be an easy fix. Here is the link to the photos with undercarriage pictures which clearly show this. https://www.volocars.com/vehicles/15660/1970-chevrolet-chevelle-ss-454 The car was sold under the money, if you ship the car back we will gladly buy the car back.
