My primary purpose of this app was to use inside my home for long work related conference calls in home where cell phone coverage is poor and I don't want to tie my land line for long periods. However, this app drops calls, often during calls with the phone held still on a desk. Otherwise, it is great. Allows me to make calls to my regular contacts through wifi networks during my travels abroad. Updated - sep 2014 The call dropping has improved. I can make 10-20 minute phone call without dropping.
Great for international travel or long-distance dialing. Easy to use and great sound quality.
Vonage is the right solution for us.

I use this app when traveling outside the country. It's a great way to keep in touch with family back home without paying $4/minute to call home. Calls are crystal clear (especially when calling a Vonage number) and you can't beat the price (free)! It's also convenient for those international conference calls back home (also free) and I've been able to call my bank from China and easily get help because the caller ID shows my regular cell number.
