Extremely poor organisation and communication which caused unnecessary stress. Invoices emailed on date of required payment! Nice moving guys, but the admin leaves a lot to be desired.

My trip from Brisbane to Perth was a nightmare with this company. I would keep away from them at all cost. After insisting that their rep come home to inspect the goods that were to be transported, they did and quoted me. They came and picked up all the staff. On arrival to Perth, they called me to say they had almost doubled my invoice because the items had occupied more space to enable another client to fit in the same container hence I had to pay for the whole container, they also claimed that I had not packed my staff ... read more
I can't even begin to explain how disappointed and upset I am with Walkers. After multiple emails back and forth for a quote, and then me double checking all aspects of it with your staff member, signing it, sending it back and paying the deposit, I was told they'd made "a grave mistake" and underquoted me by over $3000!! I get that mistakes happen, but it took way too long for this one to be picked up. This was my first large removal with Defence, and TOLL hired Walkers Removal and Storage for the job. I have never seen something so unprofessional in my life. Firstly, the pre-packers left an entire half-body box worth of unopened liquids including alcohol (even though the boxes are labeled 'wine box') saying they couldn't pack any of it, and some other cooking liquids some of which weren't flammable at all. Great service until they lost our microwave in the move, and then absolutely no response or action from the management team to fix the issue. Im reluctant not to recommend the moving team as the guys on the day were friendly and quick, but the management stinks!
A Tasmanian Oak table that had a heavy load packed on top, now destroyed. Handmade glory box broken, boxes crushed and shredded, antique sofa shredded. But that's not what is so appalling, it's this: In your promotions you suggest that you ' take care of every aspect of your move', that you will 'not lose sight of our most important business partners - our customers" and that, we, the customers will be 'looked after like family'.
