I recommend getting your child a Youth Savings Account if they're under 16yrs old you can't get them to a checking account but you can get them a savings account & a Youth Savings Account that grows interest.

Opening Checking & Savings Accounts. In October 2020 I took my 15 year old daughter to open her own account. She opened a regular Savings Account & a Youth Savings Account which builds interest in her benefit.

Service is A-one. Been a member for over 40 years .Fast friendly staff they will go the extra mile for you. Rates are excellent and they offer a lot of services. Looking for a new financial institution I recommend you give them a try.
