I don't like writing negative things about people. But for people looking for a good nuerologist I feel it is important to tell them Dr. Patel is absolutely not it. He really shouldn't be practicing medicine. He misdiagnosed me pretty badly (according to my very competent new nuerologist). He didn't respond to any of my questions. Just kind of grunting "yes" a few times. He almost seemed like he didn't care when we were together and wasn't interested in actually practicing medicine anymore. After many denials & exceptionally ill with spinal damage & lupus- I finally was placed on presumptive disability. I asked Dr. Patel to please do new imaging to confirm hundreds of white matter lesions, spinal damage & several incidences that I thought may be strokes. He ordered MRI's at his facility. Did not order gadolinium to confirm white matter lesions. Did testing to confirm nerve damage- which is all he discussed with me! Med pushing doctor. Spends 5 minutes on each patient and doesnt listen to symptoms. Did not explain meds prescribed or why and when going in for mri results hi had to bring up what thw reaults where,:( i felt not confidence in this doctor what so ever. Not to mentiin his office staff looks like a past crack addict!!!
I can admit after 4 visits to dr. Patel office, only timing was satisfactory. He did not help my concerns, his employee mentioned how dr. Patel does not listen to his patients nore his staff. I suffer from chronic to severe pain, because of none treatment it has worsen to extreme. How hard it is to find good honest caring doctors these days & employees, so for this dr. Patel is is not the Dr to see if your looking for profession & care.
RUN dont walk...He just wants to charge you for office visits and tests (must be done at his office). Spends 30 seconds at best in the room with you. Doesnt even look at you! Terrible!!!!
Prescribed 3 medications that he didn't even tell me about and what they were for before a diagnosis was even given!! First visit!
This Dr. hide an mri I had in October, 2011 stating it was normal. My disability attornuey called to see if I followed up on the abnormal scan that showed multiple lesions on the white matter of brain. As my condition worsened, he finally told me he thought I had MS. After another MRI that he says was "clean" he claims he never said I had MS. Hen I asked hin what did I have, he walked out of the room and down the hall, not answering my question. This Dr is a fraud a pill pusher. Run, don't walk away from this quack!
This Dr. is an Ambulance Chaser.First visit,he listened very carefully to what I said,and seemed very knowlegable;but I also think he did not see dollar signs behind me after he saw my nerve damage was too severe to treat easily;and could not be blamed on an accident.No one to sue,no patient to treat.When I went back after all my tests to hear the results;he did not have them in front of him,so silly me thought when he left the room,he was retrieving them...He left.I sat in a room for some hour and a half before I walked out... read more
