Knowledgeable friendly helpful staff - just the sort of folks you need when your animal is in crisis. We recently opted to use Westford instead of Tufts for emergency ultrasound and are happy we did.

I was so relieved to be able to bring my pet pig here over the weekend when she hurt her hip because my normal vet is closed on weekends and she was (and still is) definitely in pain. They were very accommodating and set us up in a private room away from other patients in the waiting room since my pig is not fond of dogs and can be territorial. I cannot say enough about this veterinary emergency center. The doctors, nurses and techs are incredibly compassionate, knowledgeable and kind. I brought my cat, Princess, here who unfortunately had feline leukemia. They assisted her every way they could. They did a diagnostic work up on my parents' cat Cookie to help with her issues. And I am medical boarding my cockatiel, Cuddles, for 10 days to help give her oral medication that I can't seem to do. Words cannot describe how grateful I am that the staff at WVE were available to save our dog, Mungo. Not only did they save his life, but they were kind and sympathetic to how distraught we were that he was sick-always receptive when we called to check in on his condition over the five days that he was hospitalized. They went above and beyond to try and make him feel comfortable and safe while in their care. Thank you Dr. Maffezzoli, Dr. Earle, and Dr. Hughs for saving our boy!

This is an excellent pet emergency center and the 24 hours availability is staffed wonderfully. My little cockatiel of over 20-years old went into convulsions or seizures at 3 AM on a Sunday and when this continued I called Westford Veterinary Center and they were indeed open so I drove my little bird, Jockey, over and he was seen immediately - by then it was nearly 6 in the morning.
