Uhhhh let me start off by saying BEST bbq I have ever had. The food here is AMAZING! I got the brisket and my boyfriend got a variety of meats, yeah we were in heaven eating here. Plus we ate outside and it was nice and they had a great ambiance/decor. When we have our little get away again we are definitely coming back :)
We enjoyed drinking whiskey and eating some fried guilty pleasure's a few days ago at W&R. We sat outside on their patio on a beautiful day. This was a perfect setting to drink some fine brown booze. We tried their Whistlepig flight(12, 15, 18, and 25 year), and then additionally tried a few hard to find whiskeys. We really enjoyed our experience. What a great find in Solvang. Great setting and upscale, comfortable decor with good lighting. Friendly service, lively atmosphere, fantastic drinks and food! We ordered the loaded Mac & cheese with smoked brisket to share. It was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Before you even arrive at Whiskey and Rye, the scent of BBQ draws you near. The classic rock music is echoing throughout and you just know that you've come to the right place. Friendly staff, great food and on point drinks! We had a few rounds of old fashions, the dirty fires and ribeye. Just typing and I want it all again. Total worth it!
