Great Company!! My Builder introduced me to WilliamSmith Fireplaces while we were building a new home in Charleston, SC. After working with this company, we decided to upgrade from the "builder grade" fireplace recommended by our builder to a gas fireplaces & logs recommended by WilliamSmith Fireplaces. BEST DECISION we ever made. After seeing the fireplaces in use, we would not have been happy with the builders recommendation. Great Experience and Exceptional Work Had WilliamSmith Fireplaces build an Outdoor Kitchen and Fireplace in our backyard. Project was completed on time, on budget with quality work. Outdoor Kitchen included Primo Grill in addition to open flame grill top, warner draws and cooler. We can not wait to share our new backyard with our friends and guest. Waiting on Spring to arrive! Great Customer Service After calling around to several businesses about a fireplace installed by my builder - WilliamSmith Fireplaces came out to see if they could service my fireplace. The Company used by my builder to install the fireplace would NOT SERVICE THEIR OWN PRODUCT. The Service Technician arrived on time as scheduled and performed the necessary maintenance even though his Company did not install my fireplace. LIKE PULLING TEETH (for three months): Dec. 4th: Guy comes to look at broken fireplace. Part needs to be ordered from manufacturer. Dec. 22nd: We call to check on stat of order. We’re told the part won’t arrive until after the holidays. ... Jan. 4th(one month later): Call again. Nope, part still was not shipped from manufacturer. Jan. 19th: Call again. The single worst business I've ever had the misfortune of coming across. They installed two fireplaces for us that we are having to have taken out and redone. They placed the opening extremely high. Owner refused to place them where I wanted them, said he was the expert. I had said I wouldn't pay the balance unless they put them where we wanted them and he started using bad language and said he'd sue me. 2 Days and No Returned Calls - Forget Em!! – I've been calling for 2 days and have been getting pretty much blown off trying to get a part that was never installed on my brand new fireplace that should have been. Spoke with Martha 3 seperate times in 2 days and she still never called me back. Pleased with product and service – Dad got his propane hook-up today, and he's just thrilled with his new logs! They look beautiful, and I think there's no doubt that they'll put off enough heat to keep him satisfied.
