The therapy is going good my brother says and he likes it. The staff is great and I think sometimes they get stressed. It takes them a while to answer the bells for the residents sometimes. They are very good, however, their biggest trouble is that they don't communicate enough or even at all. Everybody has been really nice, they’re not bad. It is very clean. The staff is very nice; they always answer all of my questions. My loved one has a few complaints, but the main one is that she hates the food. She doesn't want any of it. We just got here, but if I have an issue they're very helpful.
The last time was horrible, they had a lot of construction. Now we are very impressed this time around. It’s very warm, clean, and friendly. It looks more like it should have the first time
My father is a PT there, we are trying to get him home ASAP. The majority of the aids have minimal compassion if any. There are a few that are top notch. We recently had a visit with my Uncle, who sadly will not be with us much longer and was repulsed by the lack of compassion from the aides. He was calling out for a drink, at the nurses station two aides had their faces buried in their cell phones. When I had asked for a juice for him, one particular aide complained "he pushes the button for a drink too much so we ignore it, he's gonna have to wait". The horrible odor of the memory care unit hits you as soon as you walk through the door. The bathroom was filthy and disgusting with dried feces on the grab bar! The blinds in the room were broken and could not be opened, so he could not even see outside. There were patients screaming in the hallway throughout the day and no effort was made to calm them or to tend to them. The communication was good but the staff care could improve. My mom did not enjoy the meals.
