Moved in around March at Ridgefield court appartment and was told that I would get new flooring put in my apartment. Been 6 months and still nothing has been done! The hardwood flooring in the living room is damaged from water coming in under my front door when it rains and sits in a puddle on the floor. My carpets are so nasty my feet stay black from walking on it. I currently live in LaSalette Gardens Apartments. A property owned by Winterwood and I love it. My apartment is darling and the building has so much character. The rent is based on income so very affordable and electric is included with the rent. I'll be here a year in April. But more importantly, I love the staff and the people here. Most of the tenants are friendly and always willing to lend a hand. Jodi, the property manager, knows what she's doing and does it well. I have no problems as far as the apartments go, BUT, when it comes to snow removal they stink. Only plow a single row down road, don't plow out any of the empty parking spots nor do they clean off the stairs from parking lot to first floor. Another resident and I did our stairs, and salted them, so I (a 72 year old) could get down them to clean off my car. And yes, I had the right kind of salt! Thank the good Lord for great neighbors!!! When I first started corporate was great very nice welcome very welcoming. When u get to the regional and assets everyone outside of corporate is not for winter wood and for the property manager. It's so many people in relationships that work together and is a conflict of interest to those who are new and come to work. There is a lot of family that work together. When u first start it starts off well but once u notice the relationship with co workers u see some of they family live on property and what goes on at the property... read more

Wish I didn’t have to leave any stars. Extremely aggressive property management. These people will remove families from their homes over bogus technicalities, regardless of your ability to pay rent, so read ALL fine print before signing anything. Got black mold in a baby’s room? They’ll gladly send someone to spray paint it white a month later. Get a job paying almost minimum wage? They’ll multiply your rent by seven. Winterwood SHOULD have no business managing subsidized housing. These are not good people. Beware
