Woodlands Care Home provided the most wonderful care for my beloved Aunt, when she had dementia, from 2015 - 2017. From the very beginning, it was apparent that this care home really did care: the manager interviewed my Aunt and found out what she would need to make Woodlands feel like home and organised a personalised care regime for her. Initially, we were taken in by the look and feel of Woodlands. Modern, light, airy rooms. Staff seemed friendly. Don't be fooled by this! Most staff were unhelpful, lazy and rude. No attempt was made to alter medication (via GP) and Mum was given 4 sachets of laxative daily, even though she clearly didn't need it! Distressing for Mum and us.
