Simple and effective Had a Hayward Navigator for 5 years. Worked OK but had to refurbish it a couple of times. Recently it stopped moving but a near complete rebuild didn't help. The G3 is soooo much simpler. And it works well in my 15x30 pool. The hose doesn't get tangled and it moves even with the pump in low speed. Finally, the G3 is about half the price of a Navigator.
Easy to service by yourself Have used these Zodiac units for many years. Parts are readily available and easy to install. When adjusted correctly it does a good job of keeping my pool clean. The only problem is that it can't digest pebbles and sticks which must be cleared manually.
Doesn't Get Stuck! I've been purchasing and repairing SandSharks for the past 15 years - not professionally, but for my own use. They always seemed to get stuck on my pool steps, lighting covers and water jet returns. I would have to grab the suction hose and reposition the sweep every 10/15 minutes. This Zodiak G3 is amazing! Great buy I bought this to replace my old Baracuda. It works so much better than the old worn out one that I’ve had for years. It works great! Easy to install because I did it myself and I’m a 77 year old woman.

Excellent Cleaner for a Kidney-Shaped Pool Very easy to set up using a suction side port. Cleans the entire pool well and doesn't get stuck. The G3 wheel deflector works much better than the G2. Hoses are a tranquil blue and we like the look of the G3!
Slow The suction is good. It will clean where it goes. The problem is it takes a long time for it to cover my 16X36 pool. I leave it running all night and then the next morning sometimes there will still be a couple missed spots.
WOW, Great Suction, Amazing Price I had this same cleaner for many years. Loved that I could replace individual parts as they wore out. I had to finally buy a new one. Don't let any of that make you believe this thing breaks, it doesn't. I had mine for years in brutal Florida conditions. It gets used year round and bakes in the strong sun. It's very sturdy.
