So far so good. I am glad i got the smaller one, saved a few $$ this is a replacement for the MX8 and i am glad i did. dont get me wrong the mx8 is nice but the gears would wear out way too fast. This one works great and does a better job it the corners, we will see how durable over the AZ summer.
Great Price This pool vac is awesome - it climbs the walls and goes along the top tile line. Biggest problem is sometimes get stuck on the stair corner, but a quick nudge steers it in another direction. The whole key to the success of this vacuum is the suction. You have to adjust your valves coming in to the filter with the right amount of suction because it will not move if you don't have enough suction by leaving all the valves open. start closing down the main drain, etc until the vac starts moving and it will run around... read more
"Back saver" is what I call it This vacuum works really well! But take my advice...don't sit there and watch it, or you'll want to return it. Hook it up and just set it free, it'll do it's thing, while you do yours. Great purchase!!

Great value for the price I had a powered vacuum before and it only lasted a little over a year It had a power surge and burned up. So I looked for an alternative to powered but was skeptical. I absolutely love this vacuum it does what it is supposed to with no electricity needed (Vacuum is powered by the pool pump suction).

Poor little robot doesn't work in our pool :( Tried for 2 hours and could not get this little guy to work at all! Tried different things with the skimmers and suction of our pool and nothing. Sending it back and ordered a robatotic cleaner. We have a 30,000 gallon in ground pool. Maybe someone with a smaller above ground pool might have better luck. good for the price So this little guy is a fairly decent cleaner, it is a good lower range cleaner that looks to be built well enough for what it needs to do. One thing I do wish is that they added 2 more hoses at least as the amount of hose that comes with it for my pool isn't quite enough to reach the far end (I'm currently using a broom to push that end into range for the vacuum) so I will probably have to buy a couple more hoses at some point to really reach the end.
