I went to the local pool store and was sold on a more expensive item (different brand). That cleaner got caught on the elevated pool drain caps. I went to the store for advice and I was told to increase the pressure and look for “the sweet spot”. Keeps my pool clean of leaves and tiki bar roof debris Very easy to install - connect hose sections, submerge to get air out of line, submerge Zodiac to get air out of it and connect to hose. Good directions on setting up the pool vacuum suction rate based on the number of wheel revolutions of the Zodiac in ten seconds. In winter months I only run my pool pump 3 - 4 hours per day and this Zodiac is keeping my pool clean in that amount of time. Reliable and easy to install 4 stars only because I could not figure out why it would not move. I traced the lost of suction to the vacuum control valve which for whatever reason was leaking despite using the maximum notch. After bypassing the vacuum control valve I connected the hoses directly to the skimmer by buying a $3.00 adapter and I got the 10 revolutions prescribed in 25 seconds which made it run very well and climbing up the walls as well. Finally My old unit was the orginal from the 80's. These new unit climb the wall. And keep the pool looking great. The only problem is there was not enough hose lengths.

Works very well! Very pleased with the Zodiac! (We call it Wall-E!) lol Once you have it adjusted it just goes. Been VERY impressed with how HARD it is to clog whereas our previous Hayward (Wall-E) jammed at the drop of a small leaf! You'll be very happy with this AND it's a great price!!
