A great buy! Mine arrived in original Baracuda packaging just like I see at the local pool store. I installed it without any problems and it is working like a champ. For this price I would have to say this was a great deal!

Same product as the pool store - less money here This isn't a no-name knockoff. It's the same product they sell at Leslie's, made by Baracuda. It's just cheaper here. I go through 2 or 3 of these a year so I always keep one on hand.
Works as expected I've been getting about a year of service out of these diaphrams. I don't know what "long life" is supposed to mean, but considering it's the only moving part, a year isn't too bad. I've talked to other pool owners with different types of bottom cleaners, and they seem to agree.
Yes, they do not last. This is a good price. I just purchased this diaphragm here at Amazon. It's true, they don't last, but no pool cleaner does. The cleaners with moving parts need many repairs, often expensive and you usually can't do them yourself. Although replacement parts are outrageously priced for pieces of plastic, Barracudas are easy to maintain and they do a fine job of cleaning the pool. Good product but "long life" should last longer The original one lasted for 4 yrs, the 2nd one lasted for 1 1/2 yr, 3rd one for 1 yr ... It seems like "long life" getting shorter each time. This one lasted for 1 year each.
