I cannot recommend this apartment less. This is my first time in an apartment as a student at cofc and 95% of things here are absolutely terrible. I usually never give bad reviews, but others should be warned not to lease here ever. The building is basically trashed, nobody is ever in the office, and the only positive aspect about living here is the maintenance man Shawn who is incredibly responsive and actually cares about the residents needs and wants. Renters beware!! Not sure where to start. All management cares about here is getting every last dime they can from the college students. The cool stuff they will gladly show you on the tour doesn’t work - Ask them to turn on the outdoor fire pit during the tour. How about the tv? Also if you like termites, this is the place for you! Beware of their lease renewal scams as well. Even though they informed my son he needed to complete more paperwork to complete his lease renewal, they had his signature on their main paperwork. I’m about to start my leasing and already with a terrible experience. I asked them to wait for me 10 minutes to receive my keys (today, Saturday). They said they’d call back, and when I get there, nobody was in the office. I’m staying in a hotel for the weekend, and I’m going to miss my first day at work because they couldn’t wait 10 minutes or CALL ME BACK AS THEY SAID—terrible experience.

My House on Meeting is the worst apartment complex in all of Charleston, and by far the worst apartment complex I have ever rented from. Not only will they charge you fees and fines without notice of any wrongdoing, but they will NEVER remove a fee that is due on your account even if you show the best of intentions and good cause. The beds are military grade at best.
