As a new dog dad, naturally I wanted the absolute BEST care for my baby French bulldog. I've had a great experience up until recently with 5280 and referred several people there. But over the past year things have started to slip (forgetting to take specific tests I've asked for on visits, etc. and raising costs). My dog recently had an injury and was experiencing a ton of pain. Called to see if there was a window and they happened to have one, so I rushed to get there driving 30 minutes, was delayed in traffic and called multiple times to let them know but kept going to voicemail. The vet told me that spaying my kitten would be a high risk procedure and then said I would have to make an appointment with her to discuss further as she did not have time to discuss without me coming in person to make sure they could even do the spay properly. This is very bad service and feels like an effort to get me to pay an appointment for any information on the spaying process...very disappointing and I decided to go with another vet as a result.

They tried to be known as rino vet before an outcry over attempting to wipe people of color from the neighborhood map. Their actual business practices are worse. They recommend unnecessary surgeries and squeeze in charges for things anybody could do at home. How about $80 for an unnecessary ear wipe that literally takes 20 seconds. Update: I had questions for why they recommended my French Bulldog who doesn't really leave our home get the lepto vaccine. After speaking to another vet it makes no sense that they would recommend this vaccine for my dog. Especially for a French Bulldog that is more prone to have negative reactions to a Lepto vaccine. In addition I explained that I don't need my dog to get a bordetella vaccine since again he doesn't really leave the home. The staff was friendly along with the doctor. I wish they had listened to me more about my dogs needs while she was under their care. I understand that all veterinarian doctors complete different treatments in a different manner. As a dog mom, I feel they overcharged me and were unable to help my baby. In the long run, I took her to another clinic and the course of action is better for her and she is now finally getting better. I should have stood my ground better than I did. I take responsibility in that part.
I just moved to Denver and needed a refill of my dog's medicine. Called here and they could fill two weeks of it, instead of the usual 2 months, after the first place said they wouldn't (which is the reason for 2 stars instead of 1). That was better than nothing because we were desperate after a hectic move across country. We got there and they charged MORE for 2 weeks of this medicine than our old vet charged for 2 months. $70 for 2 weeks instead of $60 for 2 months. Beware if you're first time pet owner. My puppy vaccine series literally added up to around $500 after the completion. It was expensive bc they required a visit with every booster which brings up the cost to $100 each visit to get his booster. Sure the vets are nice but I'm not sure if the cost justifies it. Also if your pet needed to be seen urgently on a day that they're all booked. This vet has a couple doctors that care, but the rest of the staff is very immature and will broadcast your personal information as gossip in the workplace. They strike me as a bunch of entitled, immature kids, and the medical director appears to be setting the bar regarding this. There were some safety concerns and an incident that was caused by staff negligence that was not addressed professionally IMO, and the above reasons explain why it may have happened in the first place.
